Wow, today was FUN!
This morning we got to meet the big man and share a nice holiday breakfest with a bunch of other families at our local community center; something that made me just as excited as it did the kids. More than anything though, this year was a much more enjoyable experience than last year. Mostly because last year we took them to our downtown mall to see him, only to stand in line for 2.5 hours and pay $30 for a picture that I could have taken better with cell phone! So this year, I was happy that not only did we get to see him for free, but the enviroment was much more casual and easy going. Not to mention, the picture I snapped of them is priceless!!
Then, shortly after breakfest we drove out to the tree farm and cut down the PERFECT tree. The kids got to wonder around and play in the dirt, while the Fiance and I walked up and down each row searching for the right one; sothing not to tall and just wide enough. After we brought it home, we spent the rest of the night hanging lights outside and on the tree. And just before bed, the finishing touch of our STAR was added by buggie. I'm now happy to say that my house is completely decorated for the holidays!
